HOPE Field Team Reaches Indigent Community Living Amongst Landfill Conditions Outside Karachi, Pakistan 🇵🇰 - Ramadan 🕌 Door-to-Door Iftars 🍛
Amongst our many Door-to-Door Iftar 🍛 locations this year, the HOPE Field Team paid a visit to the extremely impoverished community living in Kachra Kundi, Karachi, Pakistan 🇵🇰. Sadly, as the name implies, the residents of this community of approximately 1,000 people live literally within the confines of a landfill outside the Karachi 🌆 metropolitan area. In order to earn a living, they sift through the discarded debris to search for recyclable metals to sell for a few rupees.
Kachra Kundi has been a regular stop for the HOPE Field Team for years as we strive to intervene and improve the living conditions of this community with various basic poverty alleviation ❤️🩹 measures such as Food Security 🍱, Healthcare 🩺, and Education 📚.
