Just as Laylatul Qadr is the Best Night of the Year, the Day of āArafah is the Best Day of the Entire Year.
ā Hereās how to make the most of the Day of āArafah:
š¹ Fast: Fasting on the Day of Arafat is a confirmed Sunnah for those not performing Hajj. āFasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.ā [Muslim] š«
šø Make Dua: "There is no day on which Allah ļ·» frees people from the Fire more so than on the Day of āArafah." (Muslim) š¤²š»
š¹ Give Charity: "The Believer's shade on the Day of Judgement will be his charity." (Al-Tirmidhi) ā¤ļøāš©¹
šø Recite Zhikr: Recite Tasbeeh (SubhanAllah), Tahmeed (Alhumdolillah), Tahleel (La illaha illa-llah), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar), and SubhanAllahi wa bi hamdihi, SubhanAllahi-l āadheem.šæ
š¹ Read Quran: āRead the Qurāaan, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection interceding for its companions." (Muslim) š
šø Revive a Sunnah - Perform an Extra Qurbani: Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ļ·ŗ who used to perform an extra sacrifice on behalf of his Ummah. šš
š During Hajj season, it is highly recommended to perform Qurbani for every member of your household who has reached the age of puberty.
š It is best to distribute the Qurbani meat as follows: 1/3 for yourself and your immediate family, 1/3 to family and friends, and 1/3 to the poor.
